Fire
Yeoman plays
a crucial role in fire detection and prevention. Fast
alarm signalling saves lives and property, and can mean the difference
between life and death, particularly at night when the most serious
fires occur. Prompt action is vital. Even if there's no one around,
as soon as an alarm is received, help is on its way immediately
to deal with the fire and prevent it spreading.
Here at Yeoman
we use the latest RedCARE* technology to make sure that response
to a fire emergency is instant and efficient.
Our system ensures
that within seconds of a FIRE alarm being set off, an alert will
automatically be on its way to our 24-hour, year-round receiving
centre enabling us to summon emergency help without delay.
We offer three
levels of service:
- Basic system
based on a telephone line which gives instant detection if it
has been damaged or cut, and transmits even when the phone is
in use;
- ISDN, which
is capable of transmitting up to 1,000 different alarms or data
packets to an ARC, as well as status reports on the customer's
premises such as fire location; and
- Connection
with a GSM radio back-up whereby if one system fails, the other
alerts the ARC while continuing to monitor any subsequent alarms.
* RedCARE is
the only fully monitored system to be listed and approved by the
Loss Prevention Certification Board.
